Electro-Myopulse

The electro-myopulse is different from conventional forms of electrical stimulation (i.s TENS, interferential therapy, and Galvanic stimulation) in that it actually facilitates tissue repair and promotes cell regeneration at an accelerated rate.

When tissues are diseased or damaged, the normal electrical flow and function of the body is disrupted at the cellular level. The cells experience "their power being shut off." Nutrients are unable to flow into the cells and toxins are unable to be released. This results in increased electrical resistance in the problem area, causing the body's electrical currents to flow around the damaged tissues. The Electro-Myopulse has the capacity to drive the current through the resistence and stimulate rapid cellular regeneration.

What are the benefits of Electro-Myopulse Treatment?

The Electro-Myopulse facial treatment has been effective in treating the following:

Chronic injuries -
Acute sprains, strains, sports injuries -
Carpal tunnel, neuralgia -

- Arthritis, tendonitis, muscle spasm
- TMJ, headaches, Bell's palsy
- Heel pain, shin splint, plantar fascitis

How does it work?

Because of its profound effects on tissue repair, the Electro-Myopulse system can be used successfully in a broad range of musculoskeletal disorders- both chronic and acute. When treating acute injuries, the recovery time is usually cut in half.

In the treatment of chronic conditions, patients who has lost hope of ever finding relief are amazed at how rapid and how lasting the affects of the treatment are.

In application, it is very similiar to ultrasound in that it is administered using conductivity gel and a brass probe to perform specific trigger point therapy and it is non-invasive. The patient might feel a slight tingling sensation, but most feel nothing. Each treatment takes approximately 20 minutes, and the patient usually experiences significant relief after the first few treatments. Since the effects are cumulatve each treatment generally takes less time. Depending on the nature of the condition, the patient usually requires an average of 8 to 12 treatments to attain optimal results.

The Electro-Myopulse works on a "feedback" system whereby it recognizes "normal" tissue and identifies specific areas of tissue damage, then determines the exact frequency necessary to repair the damaged tissue cell. The process continues throughout the treatment. As the area begins to repair and the requirements of the tissue cells change, the Electro-Myopulse detects the new tissue requirements and adjusts its waveform to accomodate the specific needs of the regenerating tissue. The results in an individualized treatment, as opposed to using an instrument with some preset parameter.

Results are dependent on many variables and can be patient specific. Results for the same indications may vary from person to person and dagnosis to diagnosis.
