Sports Medicine


Sports Medicine is a specialized area of medicine devoted to understanding, diagnosing and managing muscle, joint and skeletal issues as they pertain to sport and exercise.

Sports Medicine Physicians/Surgeons are Medical Doctor's who are licensed by the College of Physician and Surgeons of Ontario and hold board certifications with the College of Family Physicians of Canada or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada only after completing medical school and post-graduate residency education have further additional specialized training in the field of Sports Medicine or other related sub specialities.  Visits are covered by OHIP with a valid health card.

Procedure and Diagnosis

Our Physicians will perform a relevant history and physical examination to determine your diagnosis and management plan.  If needed, they may recommend further investigations including x-rays, ultrasounds, MRI, CT scans, bone scans, or other outside medical services to ensure the best possible diagnosis and management plan is in place.  Our physicians have the training and expertise to provide Platelet Rich Plasma injections, hyaluronic acid injections (viscosupplementation) or cortisone injections to help you recover.
